A Letter to the Precision Technology customers from Dr. Steve Turpin OD
Our new general manager shares his thoughts on joining the PTS team and manufacturing GP lenses from an OD perspective.
To our valued Precision and Cardinal customers,
I want to start by personally expressing my gratitude for your support over the last 30 years. Your trust in our team to provide high-quality, safe products to your patients means everything to us.
That trust and support has made it possible for members of the PTS and CCL team to make homes, raise families, and give back to their communities. What’s more, they’ve had the satisfaction of knowing that each lens that passes through our doors has the potential to help you and your patients do the same things and more. It’s no wonder we have employees celebrating their 30-year and 29-year work anniversaries this year.
As a result, I now get the immense pleasure of being part of a team of passionate and driven individuals ready to start the next chapter at Precision Technology Services.
I’m excited to call on my experiences building a specialty lens practice, completing a contact lens residency, and contributing to the field of myopia research to serve you better. Having been through the ups and downs of running a specialty lens practice, I have a unique and intimate knowledge of many of the hurdles providers like you deal with on a day-to-day basis. Keep an eye out for new resources rolling out over the next year to help address some of those hurdles.
As we transition from two companies into one, we will continue to contribute to and draw from the growing specialty lens literature that helps inform our product development. Ensuring your patients have access to modern, state-of-the-art products is our top priority. That’s why we’re excited to launch several new products in the coming year.
Being one the last remaining family owned-and-operated GP lens labs in Canada, we know the importance of supporting local business. We’ll continue to do this by sourcing our products and services from other Canadian businesses whenever possible and building personal relationships with providers like you to help your practices grow.
I’m looking forward to working with all of you to provide a clear future for patients all over Canada.
Best Regards,
Steve Turpin
